Welcome

In 2011 I started playing with clay through a Groupon at Park West Ceramics, where I currently teach intermediate/advanced wheel throwing.  I do my own work (and substitute teach) at The Chicago Ceramic Center.

I love clay!  I'm constantly amazed by what can be done with what is essentially mud. While clay is my primary interest, I find working in a single medium is restrictive.  I also tinker with photography, painting and woodworking.

I'm drawn to all things old, rusty and neglected. The colors, texture, character and history are like magnets for me eyes.  There's an energy and story embedded in things that speaks to me and informs my work.
